Food in the mountains

We recommend that you bring your snacks of choice for those long hours in the mountains. Same goes for your favorite beverages. Eating well is key for keeping your strength up out in the hills. And to cope with the loss of appetite, the best you can have is a wide variety of food, from sweet to sour and salty. Carrying at least 2 liters of water is essential.

Accommodation during the trip

You should have access to every service when staying in the domes. Dinner and breakfast are included in this bundle.

Travel and rescue insurance

An insurance plan is mandatory to protect yourself from the unexpected. Check with your insurance company on the details about coverage and policies. Feel free to contact us for details or in doubt.

Day 1: We leave Bariloche for Pampa Linda. We’ll travel for about two and a half hours through a not so familiar landscape. We will cross the Alerce River to begin our ascension to Ilon. After a two hours climb we should be reaching an incredible lengas forest. Then, we’ll go around Cerro del Viento to arrive at the campsite on the shores of the lake. How is the group holding? Are we up for another round? Estimated duration: 4-6hs.

Day 2 and 3: Name something better than waking up in this incredible place and having a full day of ski! After breakfast we’ll set everything up for a tour around the area. Available options may be: climbing Cerro Punta Negra, or Mocho Tumbado, skiing in the forest in Cerro del Viento or some amazing descents to Mallín de Ricardo. We will always try to look for the best options based on weather conditions on the mountain. Estimated duration: whatever your legs can take!

Day 4: After a juicy breakfast we’ll get set for a couple of farewell tours around the area. After lunch, we’ll start our journey down to Pampa Linda and our return to Bariloche. Estimated time: 8 hours.
